New Beginnings, an imprint of Material Media

 

Material Media was started in 2007 with the publication of Wait for the Wonder, a book of monologues, was published as an audiobook at the request of the author and dramatist, Katrina Katsarka Whitely.

At that same time, owner Elizabeth Cauthorn, a recently retired bookseller, also worked with the author John Philip Newell to promote some of his publications and published five of his titles (Sounds of the Eternal, Sonidos de lo Eterno, A New Ancient Harmony, Ground of All Being: The Prayer of Jesus in Color, and, most recently, Shakespeare and the Human Mystery).

In addition, the company published two CDs of chants and prayers based on his books and a ritual for a Celtic Mass.

Material Media has expanded its offerings to include children’s books, fiction, poetry, and art books by other deserving and award-winning authors such as Gordon Atkinson, Mary C. Earle, Kay Mijangos, James R. Dennis, Barbara Smith Douglas, Bishop Bob Hibbs, and Bonnie Lyons.
